On Saturday, 29th March 2025, Bramhall Park became the stage for an exciting showcase of skill, teamwork, and navigation as the Sabre ESU Explorers took part in the South Manchester Scouts Orienteering Challenge. Running from 13:00 to 16:00, this annual event brought together Scouts and Explorers for an action-packed afternoon of orienteering and adventure.

Organised by the Manchester and District Orienteering Club (MDOC), the challenge provided participants with the opportunity to test their navigation skills on official orienteering courses. With the beautiful Bramhall Park as the backdrop, the event challenged individuals and teams to think critically and move quickly, relying on their compass, map-reading abilities, and determination to conquer the terrain.

The Sabre ESU Explorers approached the challenge with enthusiasm and grit, showcasing their navigation expertise and teamwork throughout the day. The event was not only a test of physical endurance but also a celebration of the spirit of scouting—a chance to embrace challenges, support one another, and have fun.

One of the standout moments of the day was the incredible achievement of two Sabre Explorers who claimed first place in the Long Course. Their victory was a testament to their hard work, preparation, and natural talent for orienteering.

Well done.
