Over the summer holidays, the 4th Bramhall Scout Hut was buzzing with activity—not from the usual troop meetings or campfire songs, but from two dedicated work parties who rolled up their sleeves to give the space a well-deserved tidy and sort.
Volunteers came together to tidy, sort, and reorganise parts for the building. The parties mainly consisted of leaders (although all sections were invited – parents and over 16’s) and on one party one of the Explorers joined us.
One of the standout moments was the reinstatement of the original flagpole—an iconic piece of our history that had been tucked away in storage for several years. With care and a bit of elbow grease, the flagpole was reinstalled in the hall, standing tall once again as a proud symbol of our Scouting spirit. It now serves not only as a focal point for ceremonies and gatherings, but also as a reminder of our roots and the values we uphold.
A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy to the summer work parties.
