Bernie Stevens who has been an Explorer Leader at 4th Bramhall for many years has been awarded an MBE for services to the Kinder Mountain Rescue Team over the last 50 years and for his education of young people in and around Greater Manchester.
Bernie recently stepped down from Explorers, but over the years he has helped many young people achieve skills for life and Duke of Edinburgh Awards. He has done many activities and camps with the group (including Kandersteg) as well as helping stand in for santa on the local santa float.
This is a fantastoic award for Bernies achievements.
