Meeting
As an active scout troop, we get up to all sorts of exciting adventurous and activities, both in our regular meetings and on camps and visits.
Scouts is the third section in the scouting family, and is typically seen as the original section. Scouts are typically 10.5 to 14 years old. It is a great place to have an adventure. The balanced programme of activities encourages Scouts to find out about the world in which they live, know their own abilities and the importance of keeping fit and to develop their creative talents. There are also opportunities to explore their beliefs and attitudes.
Being outdoors is really important and Scouts love to learn new skills, we encourage the girls and boys to take responsibility for themselves and each other, with older members leading a small team. They like being with friends and participating fully in the adventure of life, participating in a wide range of adventurous activities.
Scouts currently meet Thursday 7:15pm to 9:00pm

Scout team members
All of our leaders are trained volunteers working to make Scouts the best it can be, but we don’t just need swashbuckling adventurers to lead our camps and expeditions. We also need tidy-uppers and tea-makers and great listeners from all walks of life – for as much or as little time as they can spare. Don’t worry if you do not have the skills to light fires or tie knots. We can also help you learn.
